Washington Butler is a native of Puyallup who was interested in the arts from a young age. She sang in choirs entered singing competitions and performed in the community theatre and in high school. After moving to Los Angeles, she studied theatre in The University of Southern California and was Belle the Princess in Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for a year and one quarter. She quit college to find an agent to represent her talents, and started auditioning for film and TV. Butler was a guest on the TV shows CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. Butler began shooting The Stranger Within with Estella and William Baldwin, the psychological thriller, on Mallorca in November 2011.
